Worked for the last 37 years for large and small pharmaceutical/biotechnology companies conducting and managing upstream, downstream and analytical efforts while developing innovative technologies. Provided for the last 29 years biopharmaceutical, biochemistry, bioprocessing and agricultural biotechnology courses and workshops at leading universities (Washington University STL, Northwestern University, Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego) and international conferences.

Currently mentoring high school, undergraduate and graduate students at UCSD in the importance of biotechnology and bioprocessing in our society. Managed mammalian cell culture agreements and activities at CDMOs in the US and Europe to produce cell therapy products and biosimilar monoclonal antibodies. Developed fungal, E.coli, Pichia and insect cell culture recombinant protein for discovery, development and commercial programs.

Managed technology effort of teams in Mumbai (strategy) and Goa (production) to implement low cost, high productivity, modular facility-based technology for the production of biosimilars focusing on monoclonal antibodies.
